Keeper offers two Assisted Keys - Signing Server and Inheritance Key.
The Signing Server is one of the keys provided by Keeper to help you create multi-key vaults without needing an additional hardware device. The Signing Server will be accessible while trying to setup a multi-key vault on the Hodler tier. Simply initiate the setup, select the Signing Server as a key and follow the instructions.
The Signing Server allows you to sign transactions with your passcode within a specified range, while necessitating the need of a 2FA code for transactions higher than the specified range.
An Inheritance Key, as the name suggests, helps you with your bitcoin inheritance planning. It is automatically unlocked at the Diamond Hands tier and is readily available to use in a vault. Use the Inheritance Key as an additional security feature as you bequeath your bitcoin. When someone has access to your vault (such as the intended heir or an unintended attacker), they will have to wait 14 days before they can use the key. You can setup an email notification to flag key access and decline it’s use.
Keeper uses BIP 85 in the backend. This lets us create Assisted Keys that you can backup and use in other wallets. Thus you are not constrained to use the keys Keeper provides within Keeper itself, an industry first feature!
